A question we are often asked is, “Aren’t all real estate agents the same?”
A quick answer is that a lot of real estate agents are, in fact, the same. Previously, we’ve talked about how many agents only use the three P’s of real estate: put a sign in the yard, put the house on the MLS, and pray somebody buys it.
At 14 Moves, however, we are full-time professional real estate agents; we prospect every day and we price-watch every day. We stay current on prices like a stock broker stays current on the stock market. We really know the inventory well, we preview properties every day, we do a thorough analysis of interest rates and where they are headed, and because of that, we know where the real estate market has been and where it might be going.
So are all real estate agents the same? No – there’s quite a difference.
Similarly, not all brokerages are the same. There is a difference between brokers like Keller Williams versus Coldwell Banker, and yet, at the end of the day, it’s the real estate agent you hire that is in charge of the marketing and the negotiating on your property.
At 14 Moves, we have a system in place to market and negotiate on your behalf that we think is working quite well when you look at our stats and our track record. We almost always beat out every market and every company out there when it comes to list to sales price ratio, days on market, and things of that nature.
So we urge you – please look into the details! Does your real estate agent have a specific marketing plan? What are they doing to follow up? What did they do before you met them to find potential buyers? How well do they negotiate?
